Project Management

The project management methodology that Microsoft recommend to Resellers is called Sure Step. It is mainly geared to Resellers and their profitability. Sure Step is an activity based approach. We prefer a product (deliverable) based approach such as PRINCE2 and we employ people with PRINCE2 Practitioner qualifications. Alternatively we can easily take on board your project management methodology, as generally all project management methodologies have a similar core and are based on a common sense approach. (i.e. Is there a business case and does someone own the project?). We are keen to transfer the knowledge we have to your staff, so that not only will you have a system that meets your quality requirements, you will also have staff that are in a position to take on future projects with more confidence.

Implementation Support

You may need help with resourcing your project team. We can offer Dynamics NAV implementers with Dynamics NAV expertise, accounting backgrounds, and ten years’ experience of knowing what works and what doesn’t. We can help with User Acceptance Testing, System Configuration (making best use of the Chart of Accounts, Posting Groups and Dimensions to meet future reporting requirements), Interfaces with Other Systems, Training of Staff Members, and Go Live Support to name a few.

Knowledge Transfer

We have people who enjoy training staff, and we can offer customised courses that related specifically to your modus operandi. We are also very good at putting training material and system documentation together, something you’ll need if you ever decide to upgrade your system. We believe that the transfer of knowledge should be challenging and fun, so we put the accent on user participation, so that delegates on training courses are stimulated and entertained throughout the day. The knowledge transfer could either happen as classroom training or on a one to one basis. We specialise in coaching new members of staff (particularly senior members) in how to get the best out of Dynamics NAV.

Data Migration

How do you get your historical data into your new system? In an ideal world you would like to be able to transfer all the history from your old system to the new system, so that you can review past trends, identify what a customer has bought over the last three years and to give yourself the confidence that the information is not lost to your organisation. We can help identify the best way forward, and to make sure that the data-porting of legacy data to the new system is done on a proper cost benefit basis, and that the most efficient tools are used for this process. We believe that information only has a value if the decisions reached from using that information have a greater value than the cost of providing that information. Why not give us a call to help identify the most efficient method of getting the necessary data for decision making, from your previous system to the new system.
